I bring you the gift of music! It's been a good while since my last recordings, and recently me and my brother have been jamming without any real point so we set ourselves a target - to write and record two songs by the end of the May day weekend. This was made early April, but it wasn't until the three day weekend until any progress was made. Two songs were indeed written and recorded to which I present to you now - http://www.megaupload.com/?d=EH2JAI4W - On which I play lead guitar. http://www.megaupload.com/?d=YGQNCIRF - On which I play bass. After the success of the May Day Project, we have now granted ourselves an extension. By the end of the end of the May Day weekend 2010 we will have record an album of at least 10 songs or 40 minutes, whichever comes first. Of course if we still have some time left after recording these we may record more. At the moment the drums are only midi but we have ideas of where to go from here but feedback and suggestions are welcome.

I too greatly enjoyed the first one. The second one suffers from having a really crappy guitar sound that sounds like it came from a cheap MIDI keyboard. Do you have any plans to record a hilariously low-budget video?

Thanks for the kind words and the criticism, I'll have a look to see if we can get a nicer distorted guitar sound. I hadn't even thought of a cheap video, but the idea does sound appealing. If we have time at the end we'll have to for some kind of promotion. Probably involving robots.

We now have a myspace because we're trendy and modern - www.myspace.com/themaydayprojectsWe've been forced to adopt an s due to unavailable myspace names, but I think it promotes optimism that this shall not be the only may day project we do! We also have better sounding drums and a few new songs. Enjoy!

Excellent work as usual, Mr. Craig. Any plans for a song about pizza werewolves?

Quite possibly, that white board is what we plan the songs on, it started of with the potato zombie, then the vinegar ghost and salt vampire followed. The pizza werewolf is the most recent addition, but surely not the last. Though it is meaning less space for our flow charts for the song structures...
We will make a crap video for youtube come the end of the project, though that'll be next year. Feel free to be creative yourselves in the meantime!
Currently working out how to play these songs live, before which we'll have to relearn the songs as a lot of it was improvised.

I listened to some of this last night. Why do you not have a record contract?

Because all the contracts are being given out to shit talent with shit songs, ie. Kim - Don't Be Tardy For The Party.
