This friend at school today told me Spore was coming out on September 7th. I responded with "Never heard of it".

What followed was him staring at me in complete silence for like 20 seconds, his face completely void of expression. He then dropped the subject. Is this something I should know about? Later he mentioned the name Will Wright, and all I could do was shrug. I had to Wikipedia the name to get the spelling wright here. Am I completely out of the loop?

You did not hear about Spore?

You basically start out with a one-cell organism that slowly evolves and eventually you can become a vast civlization that fights other civilizations in space battles.

He did say "expected to be released", and not "I swear on my mothers grave it's coming out". He has room for error.

With the amount of hype it's gotten the only possible resolution is dissapointment on a scale grander than Black and White.

It will be hilarious.
