As promised, I've actually done some work on the layout today!

Current progress on the html template can be found here
http://www.johnmobbs.co.uk/bytesized_dev/2007/index.html

I've only tested it out on Mac browsers so far (Safari 3 and Firefox), so Windows users please report back any problems - I'll check it out myself tomorrow anyway.

I'm going to be out most of the day tomorrow, but hopefully I'll get some time to finish this one off so that I can move onto the other page templates.

Gaps between images on Internet Explorer, which was probably to be expected...

Which images? The reason I hate doing website stuff these days is because of how awkward IE is, to my knowledge I have done everything correctly so far...

I've not had chance to do anything else today, will try to make some progress tomorrow.

The blue boxes where you have each individual story. There are gaps connecting the top and bottom of the border to the rest of the image.

Here you go:

http://browsershots.org/http://www.johnmobbs.co.uk/bytesized_dev/2007/index.html

You can schedule more screenshots from here:

http://browsershots.org/

It puts them in a queue, and a few minutes later, you can pick them up from the address above.

Or if you get annoyed with the waiting times, you could grab a copy of Parallels.

It might be sensible to make those images background images rather than using IMG tags. They're really styling rather than actual content.
